Suleiman Wassouf and his son Hussein Wassouf were kidnapped this morning by militants in the village of in the western countryside of Homs.

‏After the family contacted representatives of the militia in ⁦ ⁩ area, the militants denied having Hussein Wassouf, stating that only the father was in their custody, raising concerns about the son’s fate. The abductees belong to the Alawite sect.

‏It is worth noting that the so-called “Al-Majd Battalion” (formerly the Talkalakh Martyrs Battalion), one of HTS’s militia groups, is responsible for most of the sectarian kidnappings and killings in the villages of Talkalakh and the Akkar Plain.
