Reports state that there were no prior security incidents or clashes in the village before the raid. Although many of those detained had previously gone through reconciliation agreements, they are not being granted legal proceedings. Instead, they’re subjected to arbitrary arrests, and some may even face summary executions. Over half of those detained are civilians who never fought with the former regime. Their arrests appear to be based primarily on their belonging to the sect.

Note: Former regime soldiers, officers, and NCOs from the sect have reportedly not been targeted anywhere in since the regime’s fall.
