🇸🇾The Last Alawite Resident Killed in the Village of Al-Aziziyah

🔴On April 15th, the young man Ali Farid Issa was killed—the last Alawite who refused to leave his land and home in the village of Al-Aziziyah, located in the Al-Ghab Plain in Hama province. He held firm to his right to remain and did not yield to the threats and violations carried out by HTS jihadis.

🔴A patrol belonging to the group stopped him, took him to an unknown location, and later his body was found north of the village of Al-Jid, after being executed.

🔴The policy of sectarian, forced displacement continues under Jolani’s jihadist regime, using methods of murder, abduction, looting, and threats against unarmed civilians. To date, more than 20 Alawite villages in the countryside of Hama and Homs have been emptied in a systematic effort to alter the demographic structure, based on Salafi Takfiri ideology.

📌 Forced demographic change, especially when carried out against a specific group with the intent to remove them from their homeland, is classified as a crime of genocide under international law—particularly under the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which criminalizes any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group.
